چکیده
Mosquito-borne diseases include tropical such as malaria, filariasis, dengue fever, chikungunya, yellow fever and cerebral are still major health problems in Indonesia on a global scale. Various methods have been used to overcome this, including controlling vector mosquitoes using the entomopathogenic microbial Lysinibacillus sphaericus. This study aims identify bacterial isolates collected based 16S rRNA gene carry out pathogenicity test of Cx. quinquefasciatus larvae. Bacterial this were from root soil, bird droppings guano. The identification type bacteria was carried fragment. Based results RNA sequence analysis 229C, 6B4, 6.2 4D21, it found that four included L. sphaericus species with similarity scores ranging 97% 100%. measured mortality larvae know whether has equal or higher than strain 1593. 6 15.4, 1593, 4D21 showed isolate 15.4 highest larval rate, so is potentially biological agent control disease mosquitoes.

Three synthetic pyrethroids were tested for their efficacy against two populations of the filariasis vector Culex quinquefasciatus under laboratory conditions following the WHO procedure, Emulsifiable concentration and technical grade formulations of deltamethrin (2.5% wp), cypermethrin (1.0% EC) and permethrin (25% EC) were employed on the larvae of the said species collected from Mysore and M...
متن کاملToxic Response of Mosquito Culex Quinquefasciatus (Diptera: Culicidae) to some Agricultural Pesticides (Butachlor and Pertilachlor)
Background: The expansion of herbicide used in aquatic ecosystems as well as in terrestrial if is not properly controlled may produce harmful effects on freshwater fisheries. Residue limits of these agricultural chemicals in tropical fishery waters should be established. The aim of this study was to determine the acute toxicity of butachlor and pertilachlor as potential dangerous herbicides to ...
متن کاملCyt1A from Bacillus thuringiensis restores toxicity of Bacillus sphaericus against resistant Culex quinquefasciatus (Diptera: Culicidae).
The 2362 strain of Bacillus sphaericus, which produces a binary toxin highly active against Culex mosquitoes, has been developed recently as a commercial larvicide. It is being used currently in operational mosquito control programs in several countries including Brazil, France, India, and the United States. Laboratory studies have shown that mosquitoes can develop resistance to B. sphaericus, ...
متن کاملMolecular analysis of Culex quinquefasciatus larvae responses to Lysinibacillus sphaericus Bin toxin
Lysinibacillus sphaericus produces the mosquito larvicidal binary toxin consisting of BinA and BinB, which are both required for toxicity against Culex and Anopheles larvae. The molecular mechanisms behind Bin toxin-induced damage remain unexplored. We used whole-genome microarray-based transcriptome analysis to better understand how Culex larvae respond to Bin toxin treatment at the molecular ...

Culex quinquefasciatus is the vector responsible for serious disease filariasis among human beings. Plant derived products have received increased attention from scientists as they serve as a rich source for novel natural substances possessing insecticidal properties which are safe to human and ecosystem. During the last decade, various studies on natural plant products against vector mosquito ...
